The Annunciation and the Birth of Jesus Foretold

In Luke 1:26-38, the angel Gabriel appears to Mary, a young woman in Nazareth. He tells her that she has found favor with God and will miraculously conceive a son, Jesus, who will be called the Son of God and reign forever. Though initially troubled, Mary humbly accepts God’s plan, saying, “Let it be to me according to your word.”
